The gap in the 70 weeks is not absurd
Interesting. Thanks for the response mattrose. I'll probably be back with more questions at a later date after I have had time to consume some more verses related to this topic. Again thanks.

Hi
Actually my favorite anti Crusader comment comes from you Stevo and I think it deserves honorable mention here...rememebr when you said I was a tool of satan being used by him without my knowledge because your time is just to important to be used dealing with me...No Im here to stay...and Im glad we understand each other..I could rummage through all the old posts to find your exact quote if you wish but Im sure you trust me enough to be accurate and its pretty close...

Yes, Crusader, please find that quote. I don't believe that I said that, but I would be open to being shown to be wrong.
See page 9 of the closed thread....

I don't think he is deliberately serving the enemy (any more than Peter was deliberately doing so at Caesarea Philippi), but insofar as wasting the time of God's servants is an agenda of Satan, I think there is reason to suspect an inadvertent instrumentality here. It reminds me of a small child just wanting to pester a busy parent, saying,"Guess what! Guess what!" and the parent saying, "What?" and the kid saying, "Nothing!" and then repeating the cycle ten times.
Others apparently have more time for this than I do, and have the patience to keep hearing Crusader say, "Nothing!" I will let him stay as long as people have time of their own to humor him. It costs me nothing for this thread to go on and on—so long as I don't have to visit it. If anyone has any questions to address to me, I will be available at the other threads. Please forward all my calls. "

Crusader,
Thanks for going to the trouble of finding and posting that. As I thought, you misrepresented what I said. I am glad you have now quoted my exact words to set the record straight.
If you thought the phrase "wasting the time of God's servants" was the equivalent of my saying, "[my] time is just to important to be used dealing with [you]," you particularized my statement more thasn I intended. I was not just thinking of my time. I was referring to the time of the many who were wasting their breath trying to communicate with you.

Hi
Well you can read it anyway you want....at least its here for others to judge....and thats the beautiful thing about freedom, freedom of speech and indivdual liberty...I wouldnt have said that of you though...but thats o.k. youve probably guessed I wont be your next devotee or be ordering all your tapes....its all good...and I like discussing these issues...since they are so important in these Last Days when every strange form of teaching is manifesting itself....really in the end the Lord is going to have His way with His truth and nothing you or I do will stop it from coming to fruition...I enjoy it here I really do...and I can stand the heat and would expect no less from a preterist camp....

Then even you are admitting that Jesus crucifiction was during the 70th week. Just as Daniel said. After the 69th week would be the 70th.Crusader wrote:Sean there can be no doubt as to when Jesus entered Jerusalem and to the day it was at the very end of the 69th week.
Also, when Jesus first began to speak openly He said "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel." (Mark 1:15)
What time was fulfilled? The only timeclock they had, Daniel 9. The 70th week began when the time was fulfilled. There's no prediction of Jesus riding in on a donkey in Daniel 9.

Crusader, I hope you don't mind me asking but why is it so important to you that we are living in the last days? If you discovered that Jesus will not return for another two thousand years would it change how you live your life day to day? To me, it just sounds like you're homesick and want Jesus to come and set things straight as soon as possible. I think all of us can sympathize there. But whether Jesus returns today or hundreds of years from now, my day to day life will consist of following him. Jesus told this parable in Matthew 24:
45 "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
Jesus says here that no one knows when he will return so it's rather pointless to try and find out a "timeframe." The reason he doesn't want us to know is because he wants to catch us off guard to see if we'll be wise and faithful servants.

Why do you insist Sean that at the very end of the 69th week is in the 70th? And how do you explain the Temple being destroyed 40 years later..which is way out of the 7 years of the 70th week???

In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages designed to intentionally annoy and antagonize the existing members or disrupt the flow of discussion as their only purpose (see Anonymous Internet posting).
Stop feeding them and they go away. Some trolls may denounce a particular religion in a religion newsgroup, though historically, this would have been called " flamebait". Like those who engage in flaming, self-proclaimed or alleged Internet trolls sometimes resort to innuendo or misdirection in the pursuit of their objective. It is possible to distinguish between comments that are flamebait and as a result of trolling: flames have the intent of being anti-social and offensive, while trolling comments are intended to provoke a reaction, though trolling comments may also be perceived as being anti-social, although that may not have been the intent of the author.
A variant of the second variety (inflammatory messages) involves posting content obviously at odds with the (stated or unstated) focus of the group or forum; for example, posting cat-meat recipes on a pet lovers forum, posting evolutionary theory on a creationist forum (or vice versa), or posting messages about how all dragons are boring in the USENET group alt.fan.dragons. Other examples include fans of TV shows, movies, music artists or videogames going onto forums of rival shows/movies/artists/games and flaming them; for example, Halo vs. other first-person shooters in videogame forums, and flame wars between The Simpsons, South Park, and/or Family Guy forums, three popular and similar-themed adult cartoons that occasionally take pot shots at each other in real life.
