I have been notified that the problem is fixed. I guess the shows are there now (if I wasn't so lazy, I'd check it myself—in fact, I will, after I post this!).

Indeed!

I don't see them yet at theeggbeater ... but they are now at thenarrowpath.com. That's good enough.

Thanks for taking care of that, Steve!

Steve ... speaking of the show ... it's been a while since we've heard from John, our Eastern Orthodox friend, and Bob from Portland. Any idea what happened to them?

Also, are you going to do the Road to Find Out this fall?

peace,

I don't know why John and Bob don't call anymore. At one time I wondered if Bob (who is very old) had died, but then, after about a year or more of not calling, he did call.

I am eager to start up the Road to Find Out again. The radio station is eager and some of the listeners are eager also. The problem is logistical. I am away from Santa Cruz on too many Sundays to start it up again at this time. Currently, I would have to actually be in the KSCO studio to do that broadcast. If I had $3000 extra lying around (not needed to cover Narrow Path broadcasts) I could buy a piece of equipment that would allow me to do that show remotely, just as I do with the Narrow Path. There are two different stations producing the shows. One has this equipment and the other doesn't. It would be my responsibility to provide it.

I have to say that I have not been able to get the recent on programs online yet, though I was told they are fixed. My screen still shows October 2009, instead of 2010. Is anyone else having the same problem? I know sometimes changes to websites don't show up on my computer because it needs to be "refreshed." On my od computer, there was a "refresh" button prominently displayed. On my newish MacBook Pro, I have not been able to find a refresh function. Does anyone know how to do this?

Steve, you should be able to find the refresh button on the right of the web address bar - my macbook has a semi-circle arrow, when your cursor is on it says 'reload the current page'.

But the site may have been fixed by now anyway (when I checked this morning it still said Oct 09, but is now 2010), however I was able to download the programs from here (theos), they were already there. :)

I was having the same problem but suddenly, it's fixed. It took another day for the newer broadcasts to show up on TNP even though you said you could see them here, Dane. I can't get Eggbeater at all now. Could it be that things are refreshed more slowly or quickly on a regional basis, or by internet service providers, perhaps?

Speaking of missing people, I've been wanting to ask about the Buddist man - Methinks his name is Michael - It seemed like he was beginning to change a little, and then he stopped calling. At least, that's how it seems. Have you heard from him, Steve, or do you know how he's doing?

Can we start raising money for the needed equipment so you can get back to The Road to Find Out? If 150 people gave an extra $20, or if 300 of us gave an extra $10 (sounds like home school), we could raise it in a hurry. Assuming there are 300 of us who frequent the forum and support TNP. Are there? If you're here and like the idea of taking up a collection, say "Aye!"

Thanks for the tip, Suzana ! Of course, the "refresh" symbol was right under my nose—I was looking for more of a button.

Interestingly, refreshing didn't update the display to 2010, so I am not sure what to think. I am glad though that it is working for others. It must be a problem at my end.

Joan, it is a nice thought. I don't know if we have 300 (or even 150) people hanging around here at any given time, but I am not opposed to taking up a collection for the "Comrex Access rack mount" (which is the piece of equipment we lack). We'll see what happens.

Michael has not called for a while, but over the years, his calls have come in spurts and then there are seasons of his not calling in between. I hope we will hear from him again. I think he is more likely to call "The Road to Find Out", though he has called The Narrow Path many times too.

I've listened to enough of The Road To Find Out to recognize that it is a valuable outreach, and I'm delighted to hear the station and listeners are eager to see it back on the road. $3,000 isn't an impossibly large sum to raise. This is exciting!

I'm glad to know about Michael's calling pattern. I was beginning to feel some concern, but it makes sense that he would be more comfortable calling The Road To Find Out. All the more reason to restore the program.
