Re: Reflections on re-reading these threads
Steve,
Thank you for your warm welcome. Concerning your view of christian debates, I agree with you certainly on that point. I have noticed most people here are able to dialogue rather than just name call and that makes this place actually nice.
I know from the higher educated people I know that they do NOT prefer the James White approach to debate. I CERTAINLY do not like the rude approach to debate.
I found that during the debate overall I did agree with some (SOME) points that James made. Perhaps it was because of the time constrictions but I felt either of you really had ample time to dialogue on the different issues raised.
Still yet, keep up the great work and I can say as a EU'ist, thank you for being able to wrestle with scripture.
Auggy

Re: Reflections on re-reading these threads
Hi Steve,
I haven't been participating (or even lurking) at the forum for a few months now. My current responsibilities have made it very difficult to spend much time in online discussions. It can be quite frustrating to not have the time to adequetely express onself after entering into a discussion, and I felt it wasn't fair to those I was dialoguing with. Additionally, I grew weary of the combative tone that many of the threads took on, and ashamed at the times that I adopted such a tone. As a result, I opted out of joining up on the new forum.
However, I recently had a little free time and decided to stop in and take a look around. I must say, I'm thrilled that you are considering authoring a book on the views of Hell. If anyone can do it in a thorough and equitable fashion, it will be you. I want to thank you for your willingness to follow Jesus and seek His truth, even when it leads to uncomfortable places.

Danny, great to have you back!! I've always enjoyed your posts as well. If I'm pressed for time and can't read very much, your posts are among the ones I make a point of reading. I appreciate your insight and point of view (you usually give me something to think about)....not to mention your sense of humour
. I think we'd all understand if there were long periods of time between posts.

PS...I was happy to read on your blog about the resurgence of your wife's opportunity to use her gifts.

Gee, I feel like Norm walking into Cheers! Thanks for the kind words. Steve, I really do hope you are able to write this book. The time is ripe for re-examination and public discourse on the church's teachings about Hell. What better way to facilitate this than to present the various viewpoints as completely and fairly as possible in a single volume, just as you did for the Book of Revelation?

Hi Steve,
I was just wondering if you have come to any new conclusions since you have been studying this for a while now and it has been a while since you posted on this from what I can find. Either CI or UR having stronger Biblical support in your opinion?
Steve, I do appreciate the time you have taken to elaborate your ideas up to this point, it helps me a lot and I assume many others in better understanding our God. Also thanks to Paidion and his posts, brother, you make me think and ponder what I thought I already knew, and finding out I don't know as much as I thought If I keep heading in this direction there is going to be nothing I am certain of, except God and His love for me, and maybe thats the point.
