I just finished reading this book by David W. Bercot and really really enjoyed it (not saying I agreed with everything in it, but enjoyed it nonetheless - and generally agreed with most of it).
Has anyone else out there read it? If so, what are your thoughts?

Hi yes, I read it (and read/listened to most of his other stuff). Like you I had a mixed reaction. I'm not as convinced as he is that Christians are to totally shut themselves out of the world and it affairs, and I think he has given the full picture with his quotations from the early church. I'd be interested in other people's thoughts. However his materials are the best layman's introduction to the early church that I've seen, in my opinion.Rae wrote:I just finished reading this book by David W.
