Dillow
Dillow
Has anyone read the book "Reign of the Servant Kings" by Joseph Dillow? There is a "church" in our town that highly recommends the books to college students and it seems to be having really bad effects. I really hesitate to read all 650 or so pages... has anyone read the book or know anything about Dillow? Thanks!

I haven't read the book but a Google search found several reviews about the book. Just enter the book title and the author name in Google.

The jist of it would be that it produces people who believe that they can deny the faith, become Muslim or Mormon or Athiest and still go to heaven because at one time in their life they believed that Jesus died on the cross for their sins.
Let me know if you need further explanation.

Ouch.
Well, this is not good.
Let me just say this, Christ has set it up in a way that the only way we may succesfully be "Christian" if he is at the very center. Our burdens become too heavy and our tasks become too impossible without God. HE is the vine and we are the branches the further we grow the more we need him to suceed.
Being saved is more about a final destination john 17:3 3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Even Jesus said "many will do good things" [matt 7] but in the end he will say "but I never knew you" Its about knowing Christ.
Yes. all who confess in there HEART are saved. Basically It is not about a pray or about good works it is about the open confession to allow God to change your heart into something he can use to perpeuate his own glory.
Now, lets not get into "were they at once saved" thats not the issue. As for that I will not comment on my view on "perserverence of the saints" But I can say that those living in the spirit show fruits of it "For a good tree does not produce bad fruit" and a person living in Christ produces fruits of christ.
I'm sure there are plenty of prodigal son moments where osmebody can run off, and get hit by a car and still goto heaven. But that is not the issue.
Anyway I hope this might have helped!
Thank you!
