That scripture tells us two things?
one John was greater than mary!
2 The least person BORN of GOD is GREATER than John was!
Of course NOW? John also is Born of GOd and has a high place in the KINGDOM of GOD NOW!
You see? When our Lord spoke those Words? No one was Born of GOD. No one was saved really until He died paid the price of sin , then went to heaven and sent back the Holy GHOST.
Then those who were freed from hell or paradise. Could be Boprn again and went to our Natural place. Our true Home.

That's not my understanding regarding believers having perfect spirits, nor do i agree with your interpretation of the verses you provided. The Holy Spirit is perfect but Paul said we are like leaky vessels and we have to also keep renewing our minds daily.
If we had perfect spirits we would'nt be leaky vessels nor need to have our minds renewed nor would believers fall away, which they do.

The outward mind has been taught to live by sight! Our inward mind is created to think like our LORD .But, When first Born of GOD? We are babies in our Spirit and must grow to mature as our example , JESUS CHRIST!

This statement is in harmony with the teachings of the gnostics who existed alongside the church in the first centuries of Christianity.
They believed that Yahweh, the God of the Jews, was an inferior God who created all material things, including human flesh. He thought He was the supreme God, but was mistaken.
The Father of Christ, on the other hand, was the supreme God, and He created our spirits. Our spirits got trapped in our physical bodies. Our spirits need to escape or we cannot be what we were meant to be.
There were several kinds of gnostics. Two of the main groups were:
1) Those who affirmed that since the "demiurge", the creator, created the flesh, they were to avoid the desires of the flesh. So they forbade their adherents from marrying, and anyone who was already married when he became a gnostic, was forbidden to copulate with his spouse.
2) Those who also disparaged the flesh as much as the first group, but they affirmed that since the flesh is useless for true spirituality (as group 1 also affirmed), it didn't matter what you did with it. So you might as well practice promiscuity, since the flesh didn't matter --- only the spirit.
