Ghost and Demons.
What are some of you guys/girls thoughts on things like haunted houses and such?
I have seen things before that some would describe as ghost, I personally believe them to be demons.
I have heard some Christians say that they feel that sometimes in special situations that relatives can appear to people who are having a hard time dealing with the lost..Etc.. I personally disagree.
What do you think?
Here is a link of alleged "ghost car" I caught on court T.V, it has not been explained yet.

I think that it is always the case that when such things happen it is the manifestation of an evil act of Satan and his minions and is not real but a fabrication to look real and thus be deceived.

Oops, I missed that link originally, Brody. I will look at it and then edit my impressions back into this comment. (if I have any, that is)
As I was watching the video I noticed how the voice over guy continued to set our minds for an out of this world event. We were primed and ready to see something unexplainable. That was the set up and our minds fell for it. One of two things happened; either the fence fabric was loose at the bottom and the car went right under it (the fence looked like a 6 foot tall one) or when the car went off camera for a second we were unable to see that where he turned off the road was at an angle where he went around the fence. They give us nothing for answers but instead sell the video to us by making it a "Ghost Car"

I also noticed that they say he is driving "like a man possesed" and that he reaches "almost supernatural speed". Pretty funny. As I was watching the video I noticed how the voice over guy continued to set our minds for an out of this world event. We were primed and ready to see something unexplainable. general reply
I have heard an idea along the lines that ghosts are some manner of "echo" of normal phenomena. To speculate, perhaps some sort of electromagnetic impression of a person or something reverberating later in time due to unusual conditions. Out of my field of knowledge, but possible, I suppose.

me too, emmett, which might explain why ghosts purportedly do the same things over and over again (at places that are notoriously haunted). sort of like an instant relay or a time loop. and it would also explain why ghosts rarely interact with the living.

Hmmm, interesting possibility. There is so much of creation we do not know - space time continuum and stuff like that. Is it that God wants us to seek Him out through His creation? I think so and when we discover even a small inkling of His glory it should draw us closer to Him. Not all give God the Glory, and that is to their loss but those of us who do are truly blessed by acknowledging His presence in all things.kaufmannphillips wrote:I have heard an idea along the lines that ghosts are some manner of "echo" of normal phenomena. Personally, I view the idea through a lense of extreme skepticism. I don't want to totally discount the possibility of demonic manifestations that take on physical forms, but I've never seen convincing evidence of it, and I hope I never do. I'm convinced that legitimate cases of it are rare.
Last night I saw a television program about Leonid Stadnik, the world's tallest man. The doctors wanted to do surgery to remove the tumor that was causing his growth difficulty, but he was afraid to have it done.
He prayed and prayed about his problem, and God answered his prayers. (And he, Leonid, gave God credit too.)
The doctors were confounded when the tumor miraculously, as they called it, "self-destructed". Leonid will have to continue to take supliments for the rest of his life, but he is out of danger. On the program, he asked the cameras to quit filming after they gave him the news, because of his extreme emotion.
When it comes to stories of the supernatural, this is the kind of story I prefer.
