It's so cool that all of our worst enemies eventually come around to our point of view--even if kills them to do so. I'm so glad to have come around the easy way!

As ugly and sinful as her life was, I always try to remember that God still loved her more than we can possible understand. Her tragic and brutal death didn't bring him pleasure, but broke His heart. I wonder how Jesus would have treated her had they had a conversation.

1 Peter 2:21-22
22 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. 22 He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. 23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

Luke 6:27-36

Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

that also reminds me of something that i heard some atheists say once, and i'm going to paraphrase what they said

atheist #1
"i wish the rapture would happen"

atheist #2
"yeah, then we could have some more like-minded people around"

i got a sad chuckle out of it when i heard them say that...

The obvious bias of the "moderator" didn't make it any easier.

I think debate of the "come let us reason together" variety among Christians can, if conducted correctly, be very helpful, but I'm not sure much was accomplished by that one.

I think I agree that it was pretty pointless to get into that one. Definitly casting pearls before swine. I must commend Walter Martin for keeping his cool though.
