Right...But what about those that died in faith before Christ? Were they able to take part in the first resurrection or was there another resurrection that was going to take place? A second resurrection.

Does this make sense?

psychohmike, I believe those who died in faith before Christ indeed took part in the first ressurection, just not on earth. My understanding is that Christ "raised them to new life" at his resurrection from the dead. What this looks like, I have no idea. But my view is that all those who die in faith have taken part in the first resurrection. Then again, I've been wrong before.

It does to me - I started a thread on this in "Challenges". I can't find where the OT saints who died pre-cross are said to be in heaven.

MoGrace2u, the bible doesn't actually talk that much about heaven, in the sense that we're speaking of it. Jesus almost always spoke about the Kingdom of Heaven, not the place where God lives. So none of us really know the answer because the bible simply doesn't satisfy our curiosity here. I'm not sure it matters, really. I know that God is just and whatever he decides to do (about anything) is going to be loving and fair. That's enough for me.
