In Zechariah 4:11, the Prophet asks the angel, "What are the two olive trees that are dripping oil?" The angel informs him (as if the answer were obvious), "These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”

Well, that certainly makes it clear! But, ummmm, who are the two anointed ones?

I don't know the answer, but some of the early Christians said they would be Enoch and Elijah. These early Christians believed that Enoch and Elijah never physically died, and that God continued to preserve their bodies alive, and will continue to do so until they are sent to the earth as these two witnesses. At that time, they will be killed by Antichrist (the Beast) and be raised to life again after three and a half days. (Rev 11:3-12)
