thank you Brody and Christopher for your input. Yes, I understand Brody
what you mean about not offending another believer. I think that arena
can go along with wine/beer, foods, movies etc...
My son is definitely talented and was born I believe with the talent....
Infact, he's amazing! I know at the present time music is his god...
I also know he knows about God and has a certain respect/fear of him.
I continue to pray believing for a miracle for him, I also know once
rock is in their head its almost impossible to get out.
We serve a God that is the God of the impossible and I have upmost trust
that my son is in his care.
I appreciate your time to answer and pray!
How good and how pleasant...

James may be a Christian. Maybe I should not have used him as an example.Christopher wrote:Brody wrote:JT wrote:There are many gifted musicians who do not know Jesus, and probably have no desire to, but this does not negate that fact that they are brilliant instrumentalist. I am moved when singers and song writers sing of hard times and all the other issues that life can toss at you. James Taylor wrote a song called "Fire and rain", this song was written in reflection of his terrible bout with depression, and never ceases to move me.Are you sure he doesn't know Jesus? May be wishful thinking on my part. I like JT's stuff a lot.Won't you look down upon me Jesus....

I think James Taylor is actually agnostic. Sorry to disappoint. I also dig his music quite a bit.James may be a Christian. Maybe I should not have used him as an example.
