PAIDION SPEAKS!
Re: PAIDION SPEAKS!
Bless you Paidion. Looking forward to reading your post again. It's not the same without you.
Re: PAIDION SPEAKS!
Wow! I feel speechless. It is beautiful to scroll down the screen and see avatar after avatar and message after message, all representing the lovingkindness of the Father! Wow!
Jesus' love to Paidion and your wife, you are in my prayers too. Let us know if you need anything. Love,
Selah*

I liked the tone of your posts, Paidion. Whatever happened 30 years ago you`re clearly a different man now. Come back soon!

Re: PAIDION SPEAKS!
It is most gratifying to see the loving response to our brother Paidion, but then, knowing the folks that post here, I am not surprised in the least. I had talked to his wife some time back and knew of his situation but had assured her I would leave it to her (and Paidion, of course) when and if they wished to say anything.
As most of you know, Paidion and I "crossed swords" sometimes, and at other times were were almost alone as staunch allies! I pray his life will be back to normal ASAP and look forward to seeing him back at the forum. I suspect he has had much time to think, pray, and study, so I am sure he will have much to share.

Re: PAIDION SPEAKS!
Mrs. Paidion here:
I just got back from visiting Paidion last night and twice today. How wonderful to read your greetings! It is so very encouraging and we thank you. When he calls tomorrow, I will read them all to him.
Now I am really sorry we did not write for all this time, because it was such a shock, even though we knew for months that it could be a possibility, it is hard to believe something like this until it actually happens.
Although it has brought out the best in so many, many people, I had let the worst overshadow the blessings, and I am sorry for that. I was protecting myself needlessly, apparently.
I know no one more at peace with God and man than Paidion, in fact, before his court date last summer, I took two two-week trips to see long lost family and friends in the months before they led him out of the courtroom to jail with the car keys in his pocket! Those trips were refreshing and perhaps strengthening for what lay ahead. He had even told me it probably would not be necessary for me to go to court with him that day. Rick, a few days before that, he woke up with the words, “Stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage.” Many of the guards are very kind.
We have been surrounded by very precious people and we are so appreciative of them. We are learning much about them and about God, in our relationship to Him and His people. Our Anabaptist neighbors have come by one by one to say they had heard the rumors and wanted us to know that they believe Paidion is a repentant man, what he did is ‘under the blood’, that they love us, pray for us, and we are welcome to their fellowship. A remarkable people, they seem to have such great respect for the law of God, the law of love, that to them, man’s law pales by comparison.
In one sense, Paidion regards this as just another phase of life. He is in minimum security, six men to each of several houses. They have a grocery allowance and cook their own food. I said to the Lord that if my husband being in prison for longer could mean salvation coming to any of these men, it is OK by me. There are a few Christians there. He has met one or two from time to time who seem to be seeking God, and one broken man in particular who never is able to look up is particularly close to Paidion’s heart.
He is tutoring math, and they go to some sort of circle group where they are encouraged to talk freely about their lives, thoughts, feelings, etc. and that always sounds interesting to me. Not particularly a ‘guy thing’ but he is learning a lot in the interaction.
It is a four and half hour drive to the prison which is twenty minutes from a Hutterite colony where we have some good friends, and one hour from other close relatives in the Lord. I stay with them when I go. Every 60 days we have a four day visit in a cottage on the property, so it is not anywhere near as bad as many have it, especially in other countries, and we are alive and well and have enough to live on. But it is a very breaking experience, for which we are grateful. I had prayed to know what it is to enter into the fellowship of Jesus’ suffering and this seems to be a bit of an answer to that prayer. Every challenge has been only a test of our trust of God.
So, God bless you all and I pray your lives are going well. Thanks to those who tracked us down with email and the one who even found us on the phone! I will check back here and also will be checking some of the threads to see if there is something he might answer, even though he does not have his Greek books and Bible program. I have been able to scan a few things and print them up for him, but he is not allowed to receive anything but paper and photos – no books, no cakes or cookies.
With love and much appreciation for you all, Mrs. Paidion

Man judges a person by his past deeds, and administers penalties for his wrongdoing. God judges a person by his present character, and disciplines him that he may become righteous.

Re: PAIDION SPEAKS!
I read all your messages to Paidion this afternoon. He fondly remembered you all and he was moved practically to tears. He was especially touched by the one expressing concern for our practical needs. So far, we have been very blessed.
He is housed with some very tough characters and at times, I wonder if if they are dangerous. For sure, it will all work to God's glory, so we pray for them.
Thank you all again so much. God bless you. The Missus

I know he's learning patience and I can only imagine what else. I'm just glad to know he's ok and will return.Paidion wrote:I read all your messages to Paidion this afternoon.
