In my follow up sermon to the one posted above (on the fact that we were created in God's image), I preached on the wrath of God at my home church this Sunday.

I'd be interested in feedback if anyone has the time/interest.

I may have responded to an extreme understanding of God's wrath a bit too far in the other direction. I'm still thinking it through.

It's a difficult topic for sure. Paul tells us to behold not just the kindness of God—but his severity as well. It's easy to err into the ditch on either side of that road.

Well said Matt. Jesus is a revelation of God rather than a revelation from God, as were the words of Moses and the prophets. A subtle sounding yet enormous difference.
