Grace to you all. I am Joshua, one of the Lord's disciples
from Nigeria - the most populous black nation of this Earth's planet.
Glad to discover this great ministry of Steve - thanks to the internet!

hello joshua.
welcome along. i hope this forum is as much a blessing as i am sure it was to find steve's lectures. when someone introduced me to the narrow path.com a couple of years ago, i had turned my back on the lord (though at the time i would only admit to turning my back on organized religion) within about a month through listening to his teaching, i had recognized my need to repent of what was quickly becoming a dangerous friendship with the world. and i soon did repent, trembling as i learned what it meant to not be my own, but the lord's. i think what i admire most is how steve didn't exalt himself, but only presents and explains what the tools needed are. and then points to the author and finisher of our faith to show me how to use them.
i look forward to your input here. how long have you been a disciple of jesus?
grace and peace to you as well...

I also bring you welcome, Joshua. Here in THEOS, you will have opportunity both to share much and to learn much. I know I have.

Hi Jerry,
I give God all the glory for your testimony. Thank you also for finding
time to post. I bless God for Steve's generousity and a very large
heart. I have been following the Lord for over 30 years.
Around 1992, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to my heart very expressly:
"Distraction, the greatest ploy of the enemy" and that was when I was praying
for a Bible Study topic for my local church. I did prepare a very wonderful and
powerful teaching message based on that topic: Distraction...the ploy of the enemy.
But little did I know that the message was primarily for me more that I thought it was
for the congregation.
Years later, because of financial constraints, I was distracted - running here and there
in pursuit of money; like Peter, I went back to fishing...and all that!
Thank God for Luke 9:23; 14:25-33. Now, by His grace, my hands are on the plough
and never to look back again.
Recently (just on the early hours of 30th May, 2012) the Lord told me that His coming
back was in an hours time...I believe His coming is very imminent and can happen any
moment. I love His Word in John 12:26.
