It's not only Jehovah's Witnesses who claim that "aioniōs" life refers to a quality of life. I have heard evangelicals who also affirm this. But I think it is a mistake.
I'll stick with "lasting life" until I'm proven wrong. However, I do agree that the lasting life which is available through Christ is indeed everlasting. But that doesn't prove that "aiōnios" MEANS "everlasting", since the word was also applied to things which are NOT everlasting.
