Can members of the kingdom of God be patriotic towards any wordly nation?

For instance, would it incompatible to follow Jesus and love America?

Your thoughts please...

we discussed this elsewhere some time ago-- cant remember where. i think mattrose posted a question about not wanting to say the Pledge of Allegiance during his chruch service. maybe he can find it for you.

I remembered reading this, and found it fairly easily - it's in Christian Living/Ethics, the pledge during worship (in case my link doesn't work):
