I'll second that. I also want to applaud joel's and jarrod's excellent work in setting it up, especially the "bot" program that lets you instantly pull up Bible verses in a variety of translations, dictionary definitions, Google search results, and even stock quotes.

Steve, I really enjoyed the dialogue above. I was wondering whether you happened to have prepared similar dialogues for the other parts of the Bible you had planned to discuss (Romans 3:9-19, Romans 8:5-7, Ephesians 2:1-2 and Ephesians 4:17-19). I'm probably getting ahead of myself since I haven't e...

I just pulled up, literally at random, the first debate I came across on my computer and listened to the beginning of Dr. White's cross-examination of Tim Staples. I transcribe that beginning verbatim. This occurs, for anyone interested at 15:05 in the fourth sound file of the Staples debate, as pur...

Wow, today's segment just ended and I'm thoroughly depressed. As I've noted in the Calvinism forum, I'm a relatively new Christian who is very interested in digging more deeply into these issues to arrive at the truth about them, whatever the right outcome. I resolve to do my best not to let Dr. Whi...

Big Picture

This is a question that is likely to please nobody, but it is triggered by some of Mr. Gregg's remarks during the second day of the dialogue with Dr. White. The background here is that I've only been a Christian for about six years and have not yet had the chance to dig deeply into the qustion of Ca...

I really enjoyed the show today with Dr. White. My suggestion is not for a question, but rather has to do with the format. As interesting as the show was, I would think that it might be even more helpful if it could be in the form of a direct, back-and-forth discussion where you could directly ask e...

I'm really looking forward to this series. As a recent Christian who has not yet devoted substantial time to carefully working through the complex Calvinism controversy but who finds it very interesting, I believe I will be in a position to reap an especially great benefit from this exchange between...

Just a note to thank Michelle and Dane for their thoughtful messages, which seem to add further complexity on both sides. (Incidentally, I hope you won't continue to "resolve not to post," Michelle. I thought your contribution here was helpful, to me at least, and I'm glad you chose not "to just lur...

Thanks, Rae. It was a heart attack, apparently. For what it's worth, I'm told by another friend that it's common, at least in the South, for families to request donations to the deceased's church, and that perhaps I'm being oversensitive for worrying about this issue.

Regards,

CThomas
