God's Form

Post by _Blev » Fri Nov 11, 2005 9:33 pm

I know that it is usually taught that God does not have a physical form, but it sounds like he may take on some type of physical form at times. Like when he let Moses look at his Back as he passed by him. And where it speaks of anyone looking on the Face of God can not survive?

It is my belief that Moses saw the preincarnate Christ.

Also, possibly Abraham (Melchizidek), Joshua (Angel of the Lord), and the trio Shadrach, Meeshak, and Ebednigo (in the fire) to name a few.

I also think any appearances of God on earth were Christophonies or the preincarnate Christ. A good book about this is "Christ before the Manger" by Ron Rhodes.

What is meant by the scripture that refers to Jesus in this way: "who being in the form of God did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped."
