Spirit Christology

Post by darinhouston » Wed Apr 24, 2019 2:29 pm

I have been thinking along these lines for a while. I started digging into various Trinitarian theories several years ago as I was trying to square not Christology, per se, but instead the separate personality of the Spirit. As the Father "is Spirit" treating the Spirit as separate from the Father didn't feel right, coupled with the very sparse biblical case for personality. It has also always struck me odd that the "Logos" wasn't the second or even a fourth person of the Trinity and have learned that most of the 3d and 4th century theories were part of a so-called "Logos Christology."

I have just stumbled on a separate Christology based on what is known as "Spirit Christology." This seems to make a lot of sense. Has anyone heard of this or have good resources in this area?

Here's an interesting article on the subject.
