getting into trouble when talking against evolution

Post by Ryan07 » Wed May 28, 2014 6:50 pm

Well I just left an interesting group as an admin just launched an all out assault on me as being scientifically an idiot when I barely even began to mention my thoughts on the subject(which was off-topic for the group). They assume they know everything on the topic, it seems, and since I think scientific dating is inaccurate, and that the missing link will always be missing(an idea for which I was extremely ridiculed), and that I think things must have been designed rather than evolved for billions of years it's like an instant laughing stock. Some people, spiritual or not, actually seem to be able to converse creatively on topics whether they agree or disagree. Of course if it is an admin you can't just block them and go about your day. My position had been compromised.
What do you do when people assert that your ideas are stupid for and they are in a position of power in a given circumstance? I don't even consider myself to be scientific almost at all. I like to think creatively and outside the box. Scientific opinion is not boss. I don't even want to convince them I am right. So I guess that's why I chose to expunge myself.

It seems like there is a tug o war and it once was toward God and now it is toward science. The same people who love science don't even realize that they are blindly and fanatically following it as badly as the religious fundamentalists they so despise! I suppose I have to do some research except I just don't really much care to load my mind with scientificcal opinions. One side presents its evidence and it seems logical to all of them and the next side presents its evidence and it seems logical to all of them. I know which side I have chosen to believe in and I know what the other side sees: blind stupidity. And I look at them and I see something worst.... The only problem is I have no intention of being either blind or stupid on intellectual matters. I refuse also to subscribe to the concept that I have to convince anyone that I am right or intelligent or scientific. So I dunno. I didn't intend for this to be a rant. I suppose the devil is hard at work in the scientific community as well as the religious community! That must be an unscientific revelation I think that' it, though: pure evil has twisted the minds of these scientists against God. Of course one of his brain washed little minions could put me off with disinformation.... There. now I feel better. :p :p

I mean I am doing some research here and people seem pretty darn convinced of evolution.

Take this diagram of fossils, for example: http://delamagente.files.wordpress.com/ ... skulls.jpg

Or review this conversation on yahoo: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/inde ... 202AAZtvFK

I need something here feel like I'm grasping at straws.

I like what this guy said: Truth is, the missing links in the past have been misinterpreted. Some where deformed because of disease, some were donkey teeth (That's right, they claimed the Donkey Tooth was the missing link), Hoaxes and allot of evidence has been with held because it contradicts evolution. The matter of the fact is, it just doesn't exist and Million of morons in the US Scientific Community hold on stubbornly to their dream that God doesn't exist.

And BTW they claim we came from apes not monkeys.

According to evolution we are more highly evolved than the apes, in that case why keep them alive and protected? Why are they still around? At the root Evolutions logic is bogus, and this was admitted by charles Darwin Himself on his Death Bed.

So.... is that how it's always going to be? more and more random bits of evidence to support evolution, and an entirely unconvinced spiritual group that sees too much design and intelligence to support random mutation? Any resources would be greatly appreciated. And of course any I can find pro-creationism probably have a bunch of scientifical fans jockeying to say how easy it is to debunk them.

Here's one you won't have that problem with. (Well.. they might SAY it, but they won't be able to DO it.)

Thank you for the link.
I am watching some of Evolution vs Creationism Debate with Steve and Jon and I see they treat Steve the same way I was. Steve explained it by saying scientists think they know everything and he doesn't and they find this very upsetting. Being a Christian involves being humble and not understanding everything, yet to reach the conclusions scientists reach they have to apparently start with the idea that they know everything and then fit things in. By the comments in the youtube video I see evolution has almost like a clowny group of cackling crows pushing for it everywhere. I didn't remove it from my belief system till about 30yo so I guess it's become way programmed in there.

I don't even know how Steve did that debate. Jon looks pretentious, too young, and full of arguments that are part of a gigantic mainstream monster that are designed to be unarguable. Where Steve seemed to make really valid points to me such as how frogs and ecoli don't prove differentiation or single cells becoming multi cells I either missed the rebuttal or there wasn't one and the youtube comments are full of people going that pony tail guy bla bla bla ecoli bla bla. It's like brains calcify into a particular stance.

OK I think I am done with this field of inquiry I am hitting dead ends lol, and I hope that someone will eventually be able to add some interesting arguments/arguments to the pot. I am expanding my search into debate groups although even in groups called "Creationism" I am finding a heavy bias towards evolution and a cruel, unforgiving attitude from the evolutionist that irks at me. Nonetheless I found this interesting argument:

The naturalistic theory of evolution, in its entirety, necessarily includes the notion of abiogenesis - which is defined as "life arising from non-life through natural processes." There is no evidence for abiogenesis. There is no evidence that natural processes can result in life. It is assumed to be true. Researchers have been studying it and trying to confirm it for decades and without success. The Miller-Urey experiment is a failure. Life demands homochirality. The amino acids produced in the Miller-Urey experiment were not left-handed. Also, they used a reducing atmosphere and we no longer believe the earth had a reducing atmosphere when life came into existence.

The second big weakness is the rate of change necessary during the early Cambrian Explosion. A science paper came out recently saying that the rate of change during the early Cambrian was about five times greater than the rate of change we see in alleles today. But they argued that this was not a problem for evolution. I don't buy it. It is highly implausible that the amount of diversification seen in the early Cambrian could happen through naturalistic means.

It sounds like you are debating science with scientists. Most of us. Would have a hard time doing that, not being scientist.

I believe in the Big Bang Theory. In 1/3000th of a second the universe came into being from nothing. I think that is exactly what happened. How it happened is the mystery. Hubble Space Telescope has verified much of it to be true.

I also believe it to be 10-12 billion years old. Most young earthers think that is heresy, but offer no real evidence. God made Adam 34 years old so he made the universe look old, I think is how it goes. It.makes more sense that we just don't fully understand Genesis.

Something had to turn that water into wine, don't ya know. I do believe that science will prove Creationism to be true.

Well, I think man has the timeline all skewed. The dating methods are so relative. Even if the big bang is true(and you won't be able to convince me a telescope in orbit can prove that anymore than an evolutionist can convince me we descended from apes simply due to an expanding universe or anything) the original matter still had to come from somewhere. There has to be an eternal source.

I was merely sharing my opinions on thinking life was created rather than evolved on a forum for vegans and carnivores to debate when I got attacked. Haha! The mod sure thought he knew everything about science.

I agree that life was created.

Hubble can see light that has taken over 10 billion years to reach it. That' not in the same ballpark as Darwin's theory.
