Is anybody else a little weary of this...?
If you go HERE and clic the "see larger picture" link, you'll see a "Biblezine" New Testament with an article entitled "Sexcess; Success With the Opposite Sex".
This is their add for it (from the above link):
Ever wish your Bible was as easy to pick up as your favorite magazine? Now there's a new BibleZine™ created with today's modern guy in mind. With an edgy, techo-savvy style and content that makes Biblical truth fresh and relevant, it might just make Bible reading the best part of your day. By putting one of the most readable versions of the Bible, the New Century Version®, together with articles about the topics you face everyday, we've created a 'zine that will help you get deeper in the Bible, find out what God has to say for your life, and grow in your faith.
This is supposed to be some sort of Bible. I am with James White who said "This is the utter prostitution of the text of Scripture, all in the name of money". What will be next? This is Thomas Nelson Publishers who I thought was a conservitive company. Simply unbelievable.
I wonder if this BibleZine has "And do not be conformed to this world..." in it?

But we can't forget about how Rebecca St. James in "Sister Freaks" promotes Joan of Arc, as a role model for all Christian young women to look up to. After all, we all know that Joan of Arc was a faithful martyr. Never mind that her trial and burning was politically motivated. But you have to move fast, you rascals, because "Sister Freaks" is on sale:

Guilt by association... Gotta love it.
From P.O.D.'s website under the section "Frequently Asked Questions":
The triquetra symbol is derived from ancient Celtic knotwork and was adopted by Christians around the time of St. Patrick to represent the Trinity.

From P.O.D.'s website under the section "Frequently Asked Questions":
http://www.thesouthtown.com/faq/#6Q: What does the trinity symbol mean?
A: The Triquetra represents the Holy Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The unbroken circle represents eternity. The interwoven nature of the symbol denotes the indivisibility and equality of the Holy Trinity. It symbolizes that the Holy Trinity is three beings of power, honor, and glory but is indivisibly one God.

Here's a few more...The triquetra was formed at the intersection of the three interwoven circles. In the triquetra, the three equal arches of the circle expressed the equality of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Second, the union of the arches represented the unity of the Godhead. Third, their continuous form symbolized eternity. And last, the fact that they were interwoven denoted the indivisibility of the Trinity. In the center of the triquetra was an equilateral triangle, the most ancient of the Trinity symbols, and each pair of arches formed an ellipse, the symbol of God’s glory.

Hi Mort,
You are aware that P.O.D tours frequently with Ozzfest? I need not mention what goes on at Ozzfezt.

Hey Brody,
Are you aware that Jesus hung out with tax gatherers and prostitutes?

Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors because they were in need of Him and He was there to offer them Himself. If POD is at Ozzfest to win people to the Lord and that is their only goal...that's one thing, but is that what they are there for? Or are they there to "rock out" with the Ozz man?
I took your word for it, Mort. But if they are touring with Ozzy Osbourne and whatever other trash he tours with, I tend to be reverting back to my gut instinct about them.

Personally, I have a lot more respect for a group of Christians (be they in a band or athletes or whatever) who are willing to *be* Christians in the midst of the lost, rather than those who stay within a safe, hermetically sealed Christian ghetto.
Praise God that a bunch of 14 year olds who go to a concert to hear Ozzy also get to hear POD, who are unashamedly Christian.
I'm uncomfortable with this conjecturing about their motives. It seems to be veering awfully close to "judging the servant of another" (Rom. 14:4).
And Aaron, as far as Ozzy and the "trash he tours with", I'm sorry, but lost people are not trash. In fact, they are so valuable that God gave His only begotten Son for them...
