Strategies for Re-Invigorating One's Christian Walk?

Post by CThomas » Thu May 23, 2013 4:34 pm

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with any recordings of lectures from Mr. Gregg focusing on the question of techniques or suggestions for a Christian who feels that his walk with Christ is growing stale or routine, and wants to re-awaken some of his earlier passion for the Lord. A friend of mine (not me, although I'd be interested to hear as well) expressed this concern to me and I would love to find something from Steve (either a radio show answer or a full lecture) if something such exists. My friend is less interested in the whole set of theological issues surrounding perseverance, etc. -- he does not worry that he has fallen away from God such that his salvation could be in jeopardy. Rather, his focus is really more on the practical question of how to improve the situation.

Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, and God bless.

I would recommend his lectures on the kingdom of God. A fresh look at what the gospel is can only invigorate. I'm sure there are others that may work to the same end, but that's the first thing that comes to mind. Another thing that helps me is reading through 2 Corinthians as many times as it takes for my eyes to be reopened to the true life of the scriptures.

Grace and peace...
Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
