This subject is realy close to my heart and I have seen the neglect of widows and the elderly up close and personal. I have preached funerals, time after time with little or no family participation or attendance. One of the reasons some churches are not involved with ministry involving widows and the elderly is because it offers no slaps on the back and very little recognition. There or other reasons and some very understandable.

Pure and undifield religion is visting the widows and orphans, but I see very little of that. Everyone seems to go after the good "God Jobs" but when it comes to the bad "God Jobs" they shigh away and make excuses.

Forgive me for taking this serious, but their are two things that really gets my goat, The neglect of children and the neglet and abuse of the elderly and that includes widows.

Amen Frank, and so true about the hierarchy of the church organizations, God's Church on the other hand with Jesus as the head has no hierarchy.

Michelle, sounds like you witnessed it first hand. God Bless ya and Frank, double.
