Courtyard?

Post by Priestly1 » Wed Dec 24, 2008 8:47 pm

Shalom Alekhim!

I am amused by the notion that Gentile christians refer to the courtyard...LOL

I am Kennneth William Huffman.
I am married to Amy Marie Brusewitz Huffman (a former student of Mr. Gregg).
I am a former divorcee lie Steve and have Eight Children....Six with My Love Amy.
I am an Old Catholic presbyter and missionary Bishop (6th year of my Episcopasy).
I recieved my education fron Northwest Pacific University (Eugene, Oregon) and St. Thomas Theological Academy (Camden, Tennessee).

I was born, Baptised and recieved elementary christian education in the Roman Catholic Church (1966 - 1974).
I became a "Jesus Freak" in the Jesus movement and a non denominational Charismatic Protestant (1974 - 1982).
I joined the House Church and Messianic movements (1982 - 1990)
I ate with the pigs as a Prodigal Son with a failed first marriage (1884 - 1994).
I divorced and joined a spiritually retarded church (1994 -19896). Steve knows which McMinnville, Oregon church I mean.
I met, arried my Wife and have had an awesome Family (6 more children), finished my spiritual education and became ordained (1996 - 2008).
I am a servant of Christ within the Ancient Apostolic Evangelical Orthodox Faith....happy and at peace.

PS

I know Steve Gregg...have many things in common and have debated him at his McMinnville School and on Radio. We are friends and I defend His right to be eclectic, contradictory, antiestablishmentarianistic, and post apostolic praeterist......as well as funny......but I am loyal to Christ above ALL.

It's always better to be amusing than to be annoying, I think.

You've had a varied and interesting life. Nice to know a little bit about you.

The courtyard was a place for Gentile proselytes, also known as "God fearers."

I just find it funny we're still in the outer court meeting each other...just irony

peace....Ken ;)

Ken, dear fellow God fearer,

I too am a Gentile and I come to the courtyard (and the forum) from time to time to read conversations.

I appreciate your point about the history of the ancient courtyard. It reminds me of more than one analogy. Thank you for sharing both this point---and your life! It is encouraging to see how God has sustained you and grown you throughout your life. God bless all eight of your children through you! :)

In Jesus,

Jesus said, "I in them and you in Me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that you have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me." John 17:23
