OSAS and Eternal Security

Have you ever heard anyone say that OSAS is incorrect, but every true believer is eternally secure? I feel this way. Some commit apostacy, and thereful not every believer will end up in heaven. But, we as children of God are secure in their identity in Christ, and are eternally secure. I reject unconditional eternal security, but also stand against any kind of "conditional" security as well. Any thoughts on this matter?

I think Jesus made it clear that we have to "abide in him" which is living the life in him. He talks about "picking up our cross" and following him and tells us we are branches attached to the vine (him) and without him we can do nothing so it sounds pretty comprehensive. Many people think Paul spoke about "faith alone" but this phrase is not found in scripture and in fact the way Paul describes faith it's clearly an active faith.
Conditional Security

I don't think you need to "stand against any kind of conditional security".
The writer of Hebrews taught conditional security.
Hebrews 3:14 For we share in Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end...
Paul put it even more strongly:
Romans 11:22 Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off.
