Of the 12 or so children I drive to and from school, four are mute. Of those two are little angels, one is so so but the fourth is alarmingly malevolent towards the other children, tugging at their hair at every opportunity and displaying a look of glee on her face while doing it. Everything within her reach gets thown in my direction (so naturally I sit her further back!).
I dare not make a categorical judgement on her spiritual condition, but her case does get me to wonder, more broadly: if Arminianism is true how can the phenomenon of child demon possession exist at all? The playing field is cruelly unlevel. Calvinism, unpalatable to me though it is, has no difficulty explaining such a thing. Child X would simply not be a member of the elect, and so it could be said "so what if he/she gets possessed before the age of accountability?" I am not trying to argue for Calvinism, but wonder what a counter-argument might consist of.

Re: Child demon possession and Calvinism
I'm not sure why Arminianism would have a greater problem with this than with children who die before the age of accountability in general. When I child, fallen as they are, dies before the age of accountability, most arminians believe that God, in His grace, saves them in Christ. To my mind, if a child is demonized... it just doesn't really speak to the status of their salvation should they pass on from this world. And if they grow up and have opportunity to draw near to Christ and resist the devil in their lives... they'll be accountable for that decision.
