Hi Mark,

You write:

"I give up. Time to move on. Getting nowhere with my efforts here"

Again? I thought you had left.

You write:

"It really makes me wonder just how much Sanders, Boyd or Pinnock you have actually read!"

I do not claim to have read much of these men. I do not come here to discuss other men's books, but to discuss the Bible with Christians. I realize that you have not yet grasped that that is what we do here.

I have never read anything by Sanders (don't even know who he is), and most of what I have read by Boyd and Pinnock has had nothing to do with this topic, but has been their excellent defenses of the Christian faith in their apologetic works. I read one chapter by Pinnock and part of one chapter by Boyd on the topic of Open Theism. They were pretty good, but, as I have said, I do not think that their view adequately answers all the relevant biblical data.

I think that may be part of the problem here Mark. Does God really need you to defend Him? Why not rather just defend your views biblically and let God and His truth defend you?

Labeling someone a "heretic" and posting a big long list of men who agree with you doesn't defend God's truth...it only instigates a mob.

Scripture?

I tried that. Doesn't work here.

As if God needs me = Shut up Mark!
We are happy entertaining heresy here, leave us alone!

Ok!

Dust shaken off my feet, but with some sadness.

One last thing..You guys might like to contact Dr. Robert Picirilli, of Free Will Baptist Seminary, a well-known Arminian scholar and ETS member, and ask him what he thinks about Open Theism.

Bye.

If I said that Jesus is only a man can I be called heretic ? I know that Jehovah's witeness consider Jesus as a man and not a God therefore they are heretics. Am I right or wrong?

Yes.

Some questions one might seriously ask about Open Theism:

Does Open Theism make a mockery of the innerancy of Scripture?
Does Open Theism present a view of God's nature that is not in accordance to Scripture?
Does Open Theism present a view of Christ that is not in accordance to Scripture?(2nd and 3rd question are essentially the same)

If so, are the teachings of open theists heretical?
