I've never noticed this before -- Why is Seth noted as having been fathered "in Adam's likeness?"

Genesis 5:3 NET
3 When Adam had lived 130 years he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth.

One commentary says that Seth was like Adam, in that it appears that he was a righteous man, assuming that Adam repented and got right with God. Eve said that God had appointed Seth to replace Abel, who we know was righteous. When Seth had a son, Enosh, then men began to call upon the name of the Lord, making it appear that Seth (and possibly Enosh) had a godly influence on the world around them, especially their children.

Another commentary says that Seth was like Adam, in that since Adam fell, he had a tendency toward sin. I don't think this is the right way to look at it, however, because of Eve's words about Seth. Also both Cain and even Abel would have had that same tendency toward sin, since they appear to have been born after Adam's fall.
