Entering the Promised Land?

Post by mattrose » Sat May 18, 2013 3:06 pm

Anyone have any insight as to why the original plan to enter the Promised Land from the South (Kadesh Barnea) was changed so that they entered from the East through the Jordan River? I mean, I know WHY the first opportunity failed (they rebelled), but I'm not sure why God just didn't wait 40 years and then go through Kadesh Barnea again.

Not a big deal. Not even a little deal :) Just curious if anyone had any thoughts?

God likes variety. He is easily bored.

Is it etched in stone that Kadesh Barnea is from the south?

I've not seen a map that suggests otherwise.
