No no no. I am tired of trying to figure all this crap out, hearing so many damn different versions and interpretations that never make coherent sense.

I don't care at all if someone does all the work, if someone can explain the understanding to me.

I heard it said once "You don't need to know all the lies in order to know the Truth. All you need to know is the Truth, and you can spot all the lies very easily"

Just give me the Truth, and I will so much easily spot all the stupid false lies out there. Much easier that way then trying to reinvent the wheel with my own brain and time. I am tired of being confused. "Buy the Truth and Sell it not"

It's pretty hard to think outside of temporal terms.

It may in fact, be impossible for created things to do so.

Which of us is quoting someone else's thoughts more?

You or me?

Or it could be the case that its a topic framed wrongly by a wrong theology. =/

No, I basically said I don't care. I don't care who gets the prize of correctly getting theology correct for the first time, I just want to understand the texts and God.

My goal was not to be the best thinker I can be, but to actually arrive at a good coherent understanding of the texts God wants me to understand. Whether from other's insight or my own. The apostles didn't have much insight until Jesus came. Many thinkers before Jesus put lots of rigorous thinking into it all, only to be wrong about lots of stuff. I have to use my mind like everyone else, I am not blindly following Boyd. But I am totally willing to listen to a coherent theology.

To put the other point a little more succinctly,

I am totally fine brainwashing myself with Boyd's book if its the truth.

And so you should be, but the "if" part seems so incredibly careless.

That is false doctrine from an evil spirit. Denying the sin nature, denying penal substitution, denying God's abilities.

Poison fruit from a poison tree, please ask the Lord to reconfirm this deception.

Again, my bad, I was not clear. I did not say "books", I was referring solely to the book God of The Possible about the Open view. Not Boyd's other material.

But again you are assuming certain things are false doctrines, and therefore must be doctrines of demons.

15 minutes in, Warren McDrew presentation seems great so far. So curious what the arguments are going to be.

"Not trying to sound polemical in any way..."
