New GCS lectures

Post by KyleB » Sat Sep 29, 2012 3:50 pm

I have noticed (unless I'm missing something) that the 2010 and 2012 school lectures are available on the Theos site only, and the 2011 lectures are available only on the Narrow Path site. This is no bother to me, but I was just wondering why that was so, and I was thinking that it might make it more difficult for radio listeners who aren't familiar with "the big 3" Steve sites to find what they are looking for.

[Disclaimer: technically speaking, this is not phrased as a question, so it does not belong in this category. Sorry.]

Kyle,

I have noticed this discrepancy as well. I think it boils down to a function of time and availability of the resources. Everyone is busy doing their own calling and everyone volunteers their time to help spread the good news through these websites. Sometimes, I am able to receive the audio and I generally post it quickly for selfish purposes (I enjoy listening to them). Other times, others are able to post them on their sites.

Part of the unavoidable issue is that we all operate 3 separate sites without access to the others. I suppose we just try our best to make resources available online and the chips fall where they lie.

By the way, does anyone know if topical lectures were given in the 2011 or 2012 schools, or was it only 2010 so far?

I'm pretty sure that the Kingdom of God lectures (currently available at theos.org/media) were the only topical lecture series given at any of the three schools (though I could be forgetting something).

You're forgetting that lecture on why the Australian version of "All Hail King Jesus" is better than the American one.

I remember saying that, but was that during a lecture?

There was also a new Authority of the Scriptures I believe, but that is also from 2010. But you would know better than me, I wasn't there! :-)

Nah, that's just lame attempt at humor.

Perry,

I really appreciate the work you've been doing on transcribing the "Authority of Scripture" lectures at http://theos.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Also, thanks to Jarrod for the transcripts of the Kingdom of God series at that page.
