I commute heavily and I have spent many hours enjoying and being challenged by Mr. Gregg. (I think I have listened to all his tapes and now I am on my second time!) I would appreciate any suggestions of comparable teachers that are challenging and consider the Bible as their source of information for all things pertaining to life and godliness.

I like Andrew Wommack who gives a different take on certain issues then Steve, but i like to compare them and weigh their views. He is at awmi.net.

I like question/answer and interview formats.

Many of you are probably aware of these:

Chris Date interviews various theologians and apologeticists (?), and I think he's exceptionally good at it:

I'll admit that I've yet to give The Road to Find Out a shot. It seems like it would be a bit too combative or depressing for me.

Ya'll know of any other question/answer type shows?

In my opinion, The Road to Find Out show was not very combative or depressing. At its worst, I think, it was boring. This is due to some of the same callers—some of them boring—calling almost every week. Some of the episodes, though, were very enjoyable to do, and (I imagine) interesting to listeners.

For those unfamiliar, The Road to Find Out was a show I did on a secular station in Santa Cruz, in which I invited only non-Christians to call in. The archives can be found here: http://theos.org/media/section/27

One of the guys who called a few times, named Phil, was very respectful, and apparently a big fan of the show, but he was fascinated with all religions and had traveled the world to study them. Though he only called in about four times over a year's time, he always mentioned that he was a "lurker" and never missed listening to the program. After about a year of listening, he showed up at one of my Q and A meetings and participated by asking some questions. After the meeting, he told someone that it was "very meaningful" to him. Sadly, he suddenly died a few days later in a Santa Cruz parking lot (I think I heard it was of a heart attack). I am hoping that he may have found the Lord as a result of our meeting, but I will never know. It seemed very "providential" that he visited the meeting only days before his demise.

Steve, until tonight, I didn't know you had such a radio program as "The Road to Find Out". Thanks for the link. I listened to the very first airing, and found it quite fascinating.

One caller asked how you could know there is a God, if you can't experience him with your five senses. You suggested that realities such as justice exist, although we cannot experience these realities with our five senses. However, realities such as justice are abstractions. I thought perhaps examples of concrete realities which we cannot experience with our five senses might have been more effective. For example, radio waves, wi-fi, and the like. We know these waves are travelling through the air constantly, but we cannot sense them with our five senses. We experience only the results of these waves: listening to radio programs, watching television, receiving information on our computers, cell phones, etc. Similarly, though we do not experience God with our five senses but we do experience the results of His activities, His love and His revelation in our hearts and minds, and in the rare instances in which He intervenes in physical phenomena such as healings, giving sight to the blind, raising the dead, etc.
