Thanks to each one of you for expressing your willingness to pray. I am truly delighted. Never before have I had surgery of any kind.

With love and thanksgiving to all,

I am agreeing for a speedy recovery and health for you Paidon.

I had a major surgery and they give you a pre-op injection to quiet you down..Like a tranqulizer and then wheel you into the surgery room..
They inject the solution into your IV and off to sleep ( very deep) you go
and believe me no dreaming involved! When I awoke I wondered if
they were through doing surgery..They also have wonderful meds for after
if you are uncomfortable...

God Bless you.

Thanks, MLH. I have heard that before concerning wondering when the surgery was to begin, when it was already completed.

I have the choice of being put to sleep or having a "spinal".
I was initially going to choose the fomer, but now I think I will opt for the latter. When one is put to sleep, he cannot breathe for himself, and I'm just a bit leary of depending on respirators.

This surgery is to be a T.U.R.P. (Transurethral Resection of the Prostate), and will not require an incision. It is expected that it will take about an hour or so, and that I will be out of the hospital the next day or the day after.

By the way, the date of the surgery has been moved from Feb 16 to Feb 22.

I had a spinal block one time and that was weird....

Also, if you do go to sleep ( choose that way) you will never know you aren't breathing...

I am praying for you...
