The devil is lying, but the poor guy doesn't know it. In any case it will seem like an eternity to him!

i remember having the you-know-what scared out of me when i was a kid by the "this is your life" chick tract. i remember feeling so sorry for that guy who had his life re-played for him. especially when the angel couldnt find his name in the book of life. that spelled trouble with a capital "T"

if i was an 8 yr old and received that tract that mort posted, i probably wouldnt sleep for a week.

the chick website does have some less horrifying tracts. not that hell wouldnt be horrifying.

So if people who are not saved go to "hell" for eternity and burn
etc, wouldnt they then have eternal life?

the holders of that view would probably call it something like the eternal "absence" of life. the bible calls it the second death. life is in the Son, he who has not the Son hath not life.

The Chick tracts that I liked when I was a boy were:

"This Was Your Life"
"Demon's Nightmare"
"Somebody Goofed"
"Holy Joe"

Most of the Chick tracts that came out later were pretty weird.

Hola:

We've been celebrating Oct. 31 as Reformation Day.

31 Oct. 1517 is the day that the 95 theses went up on the door of the castle church in Wittenburg.

There is not much of a following for Halloween here. Some 10 years ago the Mayor outlawed the practice in the city.

My wife just had my family over for my birthday, i hope that was'nt idolatry :(
I think celebrating Jesus's birth and resurrection day are good things although i know every day should be about Christ, i think it's good to have special remembrances about these events. Of course if it were up to me i would call Easter "Resurrection Day" and Christmas would actually be about Christ and not Santa.
