Blogs You Read
If you are a blogger or a blog reader, I’d be interested in knowing of blogs you find edifying and/or have had a positive impact on your journey or ministry. The operative word here is edifying – I refuse to read the confrontational smash mouth type of blog. Thanks for your input.

I really enjoy blogging
I went to a small bible college (250 students) and would definitely have lost touch with almost everyone if it weren't for blogs. Now, on my blog, i have links to 75 of my friends from college and many of them are in ministry and share their thoughts weekly. It has been a great way to stimulate thoughts about ministry, maintain friendships, and just joke around with brothers & sisters in Christ.
My blog is:
www.matthew94.blogspot.com
I also keep all my bible study/sermon notes on a blog. It's like an online briefcase:

PS...are you a Wesleyan? I see you have a post about Keith Drury's article?

Thanks mattrose, I'll check them out.
"PS...are you a Wesleyan"
Not a Wesleyan. Non-denominational.

Blogs
Thanks Michelle for stopping by The Blind Beggar and your kind words. Blogs are an interesting medium of expression. The reason people blog is quit varied. I started as an exercise at improving my ability to express a point using the written word.
Technorati now tracks over 26.7 million blogs. Quality, as you would expect, ranges from poor to excellent. Any topics or issue man is able to think of is cover by a blogger. Christian blogging is a pretty big area now and the interaction of the reader with the blogger can be very good.
Here are a few that I enjoy.
Claude Mariottini’s blog at http://www.claudemariottini.com/blog/
This blog is a Christian perspective on the Old Testament and Current Events from Dr. Claude Mariottini, Professor of Old Testament at Northern Baptist Seminary.
Scot McKnight’s Jesus Creed at http://www.jesuscreed.org/
Scot McKnight is the Karl A. Olsson Professor in Religious Studies at North Park University. The author of more than ten books and numerous articles and chapters in multi–authored works, McKnight specializes in historical Jesus studies as well as the Gospels and the New Testament.
Rick Brannan’s ricoblog at http://www.supakoo.com/rick/ricoblog/default.aspx
Rick works for Logos Bible Software as an Information Architect. He says, “I write programs to munge text from one format into another or even create alternate views of data or even completely different data sets. It is a hoot; it's a job I love, and I'm very lucky to be able to do it, get paid for it, and work with the great folks at Logos Bible Software.”
Dan Kimball’s Vintage Faith at http://www.dankimball.com/
Dan is one of the pastors at Vintage Faith Church, in Santa Cruz, CA, and the author of two books, “The Emerging Church” (a must read) and Emerging Worship.
Doug Groothuis’ The Constructive Curmudgeon at http://theconstructivecurmudgeon.blogspot.com/
Doug Groothuis is professor of philosophy at Denver Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Evangelical Philosophical Society, and Society of Christian Philosophers.
