Why are we accused of such as this?

Every Premill Christian that believes in the Pretrib theory never fails to make this statement when I talk with them and tell them that I am Amill and such as this. "Your not looking for Christ to return, I am." This is of course very belittling to a believer because we are commanded to keep watch for Christ return. I was watching Jack Van Impe last night and he said the same thing, have any of you guys/girls been accused of this?

I don't go around broadcasting my views, but when the conversation goes that direction I usually get some kind of look and usually one of bewilderment

As a "historic pre-millenialist" who believes that Christ is coming after the tribulation period, I have been told by a pre-tribber, "You are not looking for the coming of Christ; you are looking for the coming of Anti-christ!"

Hi there Paidion. Could you give me a brief summary of your position? I know of others who hold this, and I think I know what they believe. Key word being "think" =). God bless.
