I began liking some of the things I read on this site. But then landed on pages like this:

Is there a name for this type of theology? Either way it alarms me. What do you think?

Boy, that sure discounts an awful lot of prayers of righteous men in the bible, many of which were heard by God.

Thankfully, you don't have to read very far to realize it's rubbish. According to him, the acts of demon worshiping terrorists are directly the work of God! So many people are led to believe that situations like these are examples of God's sovereignty. It's sad, and very troublesome to me. I feel like ripping my hair out when I hear people say things like this:

I'm grateful Jesus paints a much more beautiful picture of God for us to admire.

The name I'd give it is "Blasphemy".

...the point is that God WANTS this world to hurt.... God wants humans to suffer

This is the logical conclusion of the doctrine known as "Calvinism."
Say to them:`As I live,' says the Lord GOD,`I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. (Eze 33:11 NKJ)
One would think it is common sense that God
wants people to do what he commands, and not that God would decree people to disobey his own commands.

I just discovered, by searching the section "What We Believe", that this is a Tri-theist site. So they are not typical Calvinists. Most Calvinists believe that God is a Trinity.
In response to the question, "How many Gods are there?" the answer given in this site is "Three."

Should have posted that on the Trinity thread

. Gotta love this homespun theology:
Indeed all throughout the Old Testament Yahweh insisted that He was the only God in existence. In other words, He lied. One of His main reasons for doing this was to try and make Israel stand out from the rest of the world.... Ancient Israel wasn’t ready for the Trinity. In her world of warring idols, she would have turned it into a cultic mess.
Before you can acknowledge the separateness of our three Creators, you have to acknowledge the fact that Yahweh intentionally misled people for centuries and straight up lied about how many Gods there are. Today most Christians refuse to swallow these uncomfortable kernels of truth because it forces them to realize they are not in control of God and that He’s far wilder than they want to believe.
Satan has sold us up the river with this “God would never lie” business, and we’ve followed him because we are so desperate to keep God in some manageable box. It’s really a very sad situation.
Get in a theological difficulty, take the obvious way out. God lied.

Thanks for all your replies.
I was surprised to see that the website is hosted by a person of the fairer sex, Anna Diehl from Concord, California. I had thought we men held the monopoly on whackyism!
Judging by the absence of likes on her related Facebook posts, hers can hardly be considered a movement. I think I`ll put her opinions to bed in my head and move on.

Maybe it's neither men nor women, but CALIFORNIA that has a monopoly on whackyism.
