Psalm 24 time lapse

Post by Ian » Fri Aug 27, 2010 3:34 am

I have uploaded another Bible-based time lapse:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6N9P-i0Yuw

youtube`s compression codec is hard on the quality, particularly in uniform skies but, heck, it`s a free service.

Judging by the number of hits, there`s not much demand for these on youtube, hardly an incentive to keep at it, but I will anyway. An affordable dolly will soon be available from the US and then I`ll be able to make them more dynamic.

Criticism is welcome from people here as, knowing you, it will be constructive.

720, full screen and headphones best

sorry TK I wasn`t thinking. I don`t use "FB" much myself - that`s probably why I didn`t twig.

Thanks to all for the compliments. I shouldn`t be in it for that but it`s appreciated anyway.

Hi Jill

No, I didn`t do anything on that site. But their new dolly (still in the pipeline) has got me revved up to make my own work better. You`ll notice with my own stuff that the camera position doesn`t change:

http://www.imagesfromthewild.ch/Time%20 ... bepage.htm

(except in the Isaiah 53 one where the camera turns on an axis on some of the clips). You may have seen the Iceland volcano clip on the dynamic perception site. Of course the volcano is the star and the moving of the camera across the foreground is merely icing (excuse the pun there) but moving the camera definitely makes it more dynamic. Not 3d, but more varied from moment to moment anyway.

Sorry, I know none of this has to do with the Bible!

Ian,

I watched Psalm 24 more than once. I love it. The part I loved most was verse 5; "He will receive blessing from the Lord, and vindication from God, his saviour." I loved how the word 'vindication' lingered as the scene changed to the revolving night sky with the cross silhouetted against it, and then the words 'from God his saviour' appeared. Beautiful. Keep making these!
