Besides, I've been saved three times and dunked twice.

(non-trinitarians need not reply).........I better get out of here! Rick
So if the person is actually saved, and at that point in their life, they put off getting baptized, he will not be regenerated until being baptized? I don't know if I'm understanding you correctly.Paidion wrote: It is my view that if a person refuses baptism on the grounds that it is unnecessary, he will not become regenerated.
I have been asked this question once before by a friend of mine who is considering universal reconciliation to God. The Bible does not seem to give a definitive answer to that question.Michelle wrote:Paidion, I think I agree with what you say here about baptism. My question is in regard to your views on universal reconciliation. If I understand your position correctly, people who are unregenerate in this life may become so after the judgement and appropriate and remedial punishment. Will they then need to be baptized?
Allyn, it seems that your comments are a reply to someone's assertion...but whose? Did someone here say that baptism and the Lord's supper are suggestions or rituals?Allyn wrote:Baptism and the Lord's supper are not suggestions. I do not believe these shoild be looked at this way. These are not rituals either but very significant commands which in part are for identifying oneself with Christ.
No actually just thought assertions, With the many comments being contributed I simply was thinking out loud.MichelleM wrote:Allyn, it seems that your comments are a reply to someone's assertion...but whose?
