Hello Todd,
You wrote:I agree that Paul was answering questions or clearing up misconceptions from opponents concerning the resurrection. But I don't think he limited this description to believers only, as I explained my reasoning in previous posts.
Before you can use "parts" of what Paul wrote and put them together in your own arrangement to support your arguments; you first have have to demonstrate that Paul was writing about the resurrection
of unbelievers. It can't be done, imo.
The "limits" on what anyone says or writes is defined within the boundaries of the subject under consideration. "Sections" can't be pulled out from a book or a discussion and seen to have an independent meaning by themselves. To take verses out of context and then to "stack them up"; you've bypassed what those verses meant! and will wind up giving them a new meaning that they never had!
What if I deleted sentences, phrases, or words from this post that I really need to express my complete train-of-thought? Could you
follow my train of thought?
Example:
Excerpted from what I just wrote:....Paul wrote....to demonstrate...and...support...the resurrection of unbelievers.
My words in the above example have been taken out of context and are, therefore, mis-quoted. It would appear to say I believe Paul wrote about the resurrection of unbelievers and I don't! Todd! We just can't do things like this and expect to reach good (true) conclusions.
