Scripture that signifies the importance of the truth:

Pro 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We need to decide if Truth is a particular doctrine or if the Truth is Love.

Truth is essentially neither!

TRUTH = REALITY

Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Reality, and the Life???

The point is that people can Love each as Jesus commanded without knowing any correct definitions. However knowing all the correct definitions is not Love.

Yes. Jesus is the personification of reality itself. And as His disciples, we experience reality as we have never experienced it before.

I agree fully. People can love without knowledge of definitions. And, yes, knowledge is not synonymous with love.

A much more attractive reason to become a follower is when he/she sees our good works and glorifies God. Love your neighbor as yourself.
I think these both reflect the original author's sentiments and I'd have to agree. However, if the goal of love takes a back seat to truth, I think we have the beginning of a problem. Now we can each define what fulfills love.

I don't think we can say that whether people are drawn to our display of truth/love is greater than the truth itself. This is one of those touchy subjects because as soon as I write that I sound a bit less loving, like I'm just being pedantic. While it is true that we must not just have an intellectual knowledge of the truth, we must live it, still we must guard the truth.

That may be true, but one thing he wrote was, "truth is not the most important thing".

My first reaction was disagreement; that truth is the most important thing. But I can't think of any Scriptures which directly back that up.

Is truth the most important thing? Seems like kind of a tough question.
"Truth" and "love" are equally important. There is no reason to rank either as most important. Such a ranking can only be an opinion. I think that it is a logical false dilemma to imply that a ranking of importance can be made.

Just my opinion.
