Was the last supper the Passover meal?

Was the last supper the Passover meal?

It seems to me that Jesus died before the passover meal occured, that He was killed at the same time the Lambs were being killed for the passover meal.

What is your opinion?

I go with the view that there were several calendars in use, and that the official calendar of the temple priesthood wasn't very popular.
