What is the Kingdom of God? (Quizfarm.com)

Quiz: What is the Kingdom of God?

(A few words like "theocracy" and "counter-culture" are partly missing in the quiz).

I scored as a "The Kingdom as Institutional Church"
From Augustine (in the West at any rate) to the Reformation (or to Vatican 2 if you're Catholic), this was the dominant view of the church. The Church is identified with the Kingdom of God (I'm 100% Amillennial), and needs to be strong in order to achieve its goals.

Kingdom as a Christianised Society: 58%
(I'm closer to postmillennial than theocracy and/or "America is a Christian nation" by a long shot)

Inner spiritual experience:58%
(My Pentecostal/Wesleyan/Anabaptist background? I'm a Pisces?, lol, Naaaaa. It's this ><IXTHUS> kind of fish)!!!!!

The Kingdom as Institutional Church: 58%
(not sure what they mean by "institutional")

The Kingdom as Earthly Utopia: 50%
("Come to me, all you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest")

The Kingdom is mystical communion: 50%
(The Kingdom is as, or more, real than what we "see" imo)!

The Kingdom as a political state: 50%
(I vote for laws that promote godliness but am not politically active, otherwise).

The Kingdom as a counter-system: 42%
(The quiz mentioned something about "How they lived in the NT"...probably referring to the Church in early Acts...I do not believe this was "normative" for the entire church. Rather, the church in Jerusalem very closely resembled Essene communities (and was probably "modeled" after them: Therefore, this was primarily a Jewish phenomena, imo. You don't see "communal living" in the Gentile churches of the NT)....

The Kingdom is a Future Hope: 0%
(I must have scored very high on "it is now" questions coz I do believe there is also a future hope, new heavens and earth. But I don't think the Kingdom will be really "different" than now other than the radical doing away with sin and death! Put another way, I don't think we will be as "surprised (as in caught off guard)" as we will be "(totally) amazed & in awe"...Things will be "familiar" I think. Just a LOT better)!

Again, I'm not real sure what this quiz means by "institutional." I definitely agree that:
The Church is identified with the Kingdom of God, and needs to be strong in order to achieve its goals.
(Of course it does, lol)....

'Gives me a few things to think about, especially since I'm in the "50's" range on most of em, lol
Rick

You scored as a The Kingdom as a counter-system
This approach has been adopted by Anabaptist and similar groups who saw themselves as recapturing the essence of true Christianity in opposition to a "Christianised" society and an institutional church.
