the happiest people on earth

I recently heard a person call in about an Armenian prophecy that led many Armenians to America to avoid murder.
it's such a beautiful story of God saving his people.
when I think of these happenings being brought up to today, I can't help but be skeptical of many of the 'prophecies' that I hear. but I also long to follow the legitimate leading of God along with other believers. It seems like Pentacostal history has a checkered past of true and false supernatural happenings. but I must say that I deeply long for that kind of experience with God... clear prophecy or vision to the body of Christ, and then the body following faithfully behind their God.
anyway, I don't really know what I'm trying to say other than *I long for a similar experience to the Armenians who trusted God's given word to them many years ago.
anyone have any similar longings?
