Does anyone ever call to disagree anymore?

Post by _brody_in_ga » Mon Feb 11, 2008 11:07 pm

It seems that the majority of callers lately either fall into one of two categories,

1.) Folks who call to give a lengthy personal story, which most of the time has very little relevance to scripture, and the issues contained within.

Or

2.) Those who feel they have a message for the listeners, and go on for about 3-4 minutes on something that Steve has already done a good job of covering for the listeners.

Before I go on, I am not trying to sound disrespectful to the callers who call on a regular basis, God bless them in every way possible. Its just that I love to hear a good dialog between two people that disagree on a subject. I actually love it when folks like Tom the Catholic guy call, and John from Portland and I kinda miss Dennis the Pre-mill guy. Can anyone here relate?

And I just want to say to Steve, Good work! I don't know of any other Christian radio program that lets others who disagree speak at great lengths of time.

Now, if we can just get some who actually disagree with you Steve to call in more frequently, that will be awesome!

You could pretend to disagree and call to argue with Steve!

To stir things up, I'm going to call in one day and say the following: "Steve, pleasure to speak with you. I just recently shot three guys. Is that a sin? If so, please provide scriptural support. Also, I'd like your thoughts on Matthew twenty-four."

:D

Be sure to call when there are only about 5 minutes left.

Dang! I knew I'd give myself away in a careless moment one day!

I should call while I'm in the car and roll down the windows to drive Steve nuts with the wind noise.

Or maybe I'll call and play his own theme music in the background so Steve and company can try and figure out what's going on. "Why is that playing now?" :?

Or maybe just call in and start reading random scripture or give a sermon on a completely unrelated topic.

We already have all that going on regularly. You'll have to be more imaginative.
