You guys have me more interested in this guy. I do anticipate a lot of disagreement, but maybe more agreement than I originally thought.

John Piper portrays him in a positive way. (in audio)

Of course there are several things that I do not agree in his theology, but I personally red about half of the “confessions” and I can relate to so much of the things in my own life, I am really enjoying reading them.

Much agreed, Alex. In the long run, I have more appreciation for Augustine than beef with him.
