What makes a GOOD Church

One of the issues that I run into very often, is that Christians tell me that Church is not equipping them any more. Preaching becomes boring, not enough spiritual meat etc. I once heard a guy at my favorite books store to go to, because it carries all the theological stuff, none of these self help Christian books etc. He was asked by a customer about the church he went to, because the customer knew who his pastor was. The customer asked "how's his preaching?" The response was " it was good for the first three years, I still go there because of the great fellowship" The book store guy is a very knowledgeable guy.

I have run into this very often now a days.

Any comments???

Michael,
Seems that the answer would be quite different for someone who sincerely wants to be a disciple of Jesus as opposed to someone who, as Dallas Willard puts it, goes as a "consumer of Christian goods and services".
Yours in Christ, Homer

My suggestion is Calvary Chapel. Balanced teaching....verse by verse..plenty of Gods love.

Hey Crusader,

Where do you go to church? If it is Calvary, where is it located?
I use to go to Calvary chapel. I would agree with you.

In his name,
Michael :)
