I am also reading John Eldredge (just finished Wild at heart & just started Waking the dead) And I'm thinking of going on a MEN'S retreat set around his teaching. But have some reservations about it. Would appreciate any feed back if anyone is familiar with his teaching :?: Thanks and God Bless

The "Wild at heart" study and book is the most ungodly trash I've seen in a while.

Open theism is defended, even as author John E. denies he follows it.

Jesus fails. p.166
“When He encounters the guy who lives out in the Gerasenes tombs, tormented by a legion of spirits, the first rebuke by Jesus doesn’t work. He had to get more information to really take them on” (see Luke 8:26-33)

God risks. pgs.30-32
“God is a person who takes immense risks” (p. 30)
It’s not the nature of God to limit His risks and cover His bases” (p.31). “As with every relationship, there’s a certain amount of unpredictability…. God’s willingness to risk is just astounding…. There is definitely something wild in the heart of God” (p. 32)

Man-to-boy "private-parts' dialog from the movie "A perfect world" with Kevin Costner. "My p--ker is puny" "Let me see it, I'll shoot you straight...blah blah..so-on".

Chuck Swindol says it's the best book he's read in 5 years, and everyone should get this for mother's as well. My mother would wash his filthy ungodly worldy mouth out with soap if that dialog was presented to her.

Author describes those opposed to his "wound" teachings as Doctrinal Nazis.

AVOID this author and his books at all cost
and rebuke any church that would bring this into it's doors.
