Hi,

I'd thought I'd chime in here and post of link to a rebuttal of some of the criticisms of The Shack by Wayne Jacobsen, who was a contributor to this book. You can read his rebuttal here.

I read the book about 5 months ago, and I liked it very much, and I don't like very much fiction. It was jarring at places but I think mostly in a good way. Once I got over the fact that God manifested himself as Aunt Jemima, and that little foot rubbing incident, it really blessed me. I still think about this book all the time. In some cases it has caused me to rethink some of the ideas I had about the Father and take a fresh look at who Jesus revealed Him to be. I plan on reading the book again. I'd recommend anyone read it with no reservations. At least it may get people talking, or even introduce some to a Father who wants to love them out of their sin.

Shel
