The claim is that basically for political reasons the Vatican created Islam or at least greatly facilitated it.
So far I've only seen this claim presented by a Chick tract and a Seventh Day Adventist "Amazing Facts" presentation on YouTube.
I know both Chick and the SDA are ultra anti Catholicism. So, before I invest time on it, I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's any validity to this premise or is it purely propaganda?
